About Meta Hausfrau

This website is a collection of craft projects, some original designs by Leslie and some tried-and-true patterns found online. It is fueled by Pinterest and Leslie's endless need to fidget with something.

It is hoped that you will find some inspiration for your own crafting on these pages; however, please do not copy any of Leslie's original designs for sale, or use the tried-and-true patterns outside of the requests of the creators.

About Leslie, the Meta Hausfrau

Ever since she was taught how to sew at the age of five by a mother desperate to be left alone for a few moments, Leslie has been a crafter. Even now, Leslie is rarely far away from an ongoing project...or two, or three. Past projects have involved sewing, knitting, embroidery, crocheting, chainmail, cross-stitch, clay, and origami (though anything is up for grabs).

The term "meta hausfrau" was coined by one of Leslie's friends to mean those women who, though they appreciate some domesticity, aren't your average 1950's housewife. (Leslie avoids cooking at all times, and only does laundry under duress.)

When not crafting, Leslie is often to be found at home with her two cats and her wonderful partner, all of whom have made more room in their lives for her craft projects than is truly fair. She is also a student, an intern, and a teaching assistant.
